| In art designed to be handled, textures are important elements. The surface is reminiscent of museum casts and molds of specimens unearthed from the past. The sound of plaster pages fitting neatly together is unexpectedly different from the turning of paper pages. The weight and feel of the plaster creates a different experience than that of holding a traditionally bound book. All these works were made in 2006, fit neatly in the hand and sell for $100.
