Bottle caps are often used comercially to give the drinker a message, usually "not a winner" or "sorry try again." Here the reader is rewarded with each cap. The caps are saved in a memory bank with metaphorical references to memories being bottled up or uncapped. By taking these statements out of context, they cut loose from the thread of memory and open possible associations which are different for each reader.
